Work 2022 onwards

This new work focusses on the act of painting itself. - applying paint by dripping and throwing which removes the discipline of brush marks and introduces a random uncontrolled element. At the same time I abandoned all direct references to the subject matter - this has also allowed me the freedom to use an unlimited range of colours. 

Although there is now no reference to subject matter - I believe that the works are nevertheless strongly influenced by the spirit of the Cornish environment and history and the shapes and complex textures found in nature.
